Securing access to customer accounts is of paramount importance to us. We have an important update to share that will eliminate unauthorized account access while ensuring you will continue to have easy access to your account. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is our method to verify your identify through one of three methods:
- A code sent to your registered email account
- A code sent to your mobile phone through SMS
- An alert pushed to your mobile application
You can establish your desired 2FA method from the Security tab on your User Settings/My Profile. You can access this by clicking on your name in the upper right corner of the trading platform header. Click on “My Profile” and then the “Security” tab on the settings dialog.
From here, you can select your preferred method to receive your 2FA notification. If you do not want to be bothered every time you login, you have the option to “Do not ask 2FA for known devices”. If you select this option, you will be asked for verification on the next login. However, for the next 90 days, it will not prompt you for a code if you continue to use the same device. Note that if you use multiple devices, desktop, laptop, mobile phone, etc, it will ask for a code on each new device we see.
